Hillside Park Splash Pad
The Splash Pad is Open Daily from 10:00 am-7:00 pmIn 2015, Greenfield Recreation built the Splash Pad at Hillside Park. Funded through the City of Greenfield and grant money from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Our Common Backyard’s Grant Program. It is located right next to playground.
Parking
Two possible parking areas are located on Grove Street and Conway Street. These parking areas are also utilized as the main entrance to the park.Splash Pad Rules & Regulations
• | To start water: Locate Activation Bollard or Step Pad Activator. | |
• | All children must have adult supervision at all times. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. | |
• | Swim suits and/or appropriate attire must be worn at all times. | |
• | Footwear/sandals are strongly recommended. | |
• | Running, undue roughness, horseplay, and other inappropriate behavior is strictly prohibited. | |
• | All participants must conduct themselves in a courteous, safe, and family-orientated manner. | |
• | Splash Pad is designed for recreation purposes and not for bathing. No soaps, detergents, or shampoos are allowed. | |
• | Use prohibited by all persons having any contagious diseases or infectious conditions. | |
• | Food and/or beverages of any kind are not allowed on the Splash Pad. | |
• | No glass containers or breakable objects. | |
• | Alcohol or tobacco of any kind is prohibited. | |
• | No skateboards, roller blades, bicycles, and/or scooters are allowed on the Splash Pad. | |
• | Dogs/pets are not allowed on the Splash Pad. | |
• | Do not climb, hang, swing, or pull on any of the Splash Pad equipment. | |
• | No Athletic equipment, balls, bats, beach balls, noodles, water balloons, water toys, waterguns, etc. on the Splash Pad. | |
• | Swim diapers are required for all children under 4 years of age | |
• | The town is not responsible for lost or stolen items. | |
• | Report vandalism or park damage to Greenfield Recreation Department at 413.772.1553. | |
• | Please vacate the park when conditions call for thunder or lightning. The Splash Pad may close if weather conditions become unsafe. | |
• | In the event of an emergency, call 911 - the Splash Pad is located at 42 Grove Street. |
The City of Greenfield reserves the right to remove a participant/spectator from the park for violating any of the above rules or engaging in illegal, disruptive, destructive, or inappropriate behavior. The City of Greenfield or its agents assumes no liability for injuries sustained in the use of this facility.
The splash pad may be closed at any time due to weather, maintenance of equipment or other operational concerns.
