It is important to know what to do when your pets first become injured before you can take them to the veterinarian. This American Heart Association course will teach basic first aid knowledge, including how to respond to cardiac arrest and choking. This session will develop the skills and the confidence to respond and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrives. This course will feature hands on learning. Upon successful completion, students receive a course completion card that is valid for two years.
