The forest surrounding our Green River Swim Area is a unique treasure among its natural setting. Nature enthusiasts are encouraged to join this walk as we explore the native plants in the area including some unique spring ephemerals in the early spring walks. Wear sturdy, comfortable walking/hiking shoes, and layers of clothing to accommodate the weather. Although much of our time will be on the relatively flat ground, the hike is of moderate difficulty. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle and your favorite means of identifying native plants.

Help with the management of invasive species at the Green River Swim Area. Under the guidance and instruction of the members of the Floodplain Forest Restoration Project, help manage the Japanese knotweed and help keep the space open for hiking paths and the beautiful native plants that already grow in this forest.
